1. The service
DMCALens (dmcalens.com) republishes and analyses Google's public copyright removal data. For each domain, reporting organisation (agency) and rights holder it shows the notices, the number of URLs by Google's outcome, monthly trends and related domains. Account holders can watch domains, agencies and rights holders and receive an email when new notices name them.
“We” and “us” mean the operator of DMCALens. “You” means anyone who uses the site. By using the site, creating an account or paying for a plan you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service. How we handle personal data is set out in the privacy policy.
2. The data and its limits
The notice records come from the Google Transparency Report. DMCALens is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by Google or Lumen.
- “Removed”, “no action taken”, “not in Google's index” and “pending” are Google's own outcomes for the reported URLs. They describe what Google did with a request, not whether a notice, a claim or a site is lawful.
- We do not verify the claims made in notices and do not judge whether any notice or site is lawful. Nothing on the site is a statement by us about any sender, rights holder or site.
- The data can be incomplete, late or wrong, through errors made by the senders of notices or by Google. Google decides when it publishes new data; the site is updated when Google publishes a new data file and shows the date of the newest notice it holds. When Google pauses, updates and alerts pause with it.
- The site is not legal advice. Before you act on a notice, for example with a counter-notice, read the notice itself and take advice.
URLs on which Google took no action are not printed in page HTML. Any visitor can load the newest 25 for a domain or notice; Pro and Business accounts can list and export all of them. Pages of rights holders whose notices mostly concern adult sites, and pages of adult domains, are kept out of search engines and their names are not printed on indexed pages.
3. Accounts
- An account is an email address. There are no passwords: you sign in through a single-use link sent to that address, and the first sign-in creates the account.
- Use an address you control. Anyone who can read the mailbox can sign in as you, so keeping that mailbox secure is your responsibility.
4. Plans
- Free: 1 watch, a weekly summary email, and the newest 25 no-action URLs per page.
- Pro: USD 19 per month, prepaid. 25 watches, an email after every data update, every no-action URL, and CSV export (section 9).
- Business: USD 99 per month, prepaid. 500 watches, with the same features as Pro and a larger export allowance (section 9). Buying Business while Pro runs converts the unused Pro days into Business days at the ratio of the two prices, then adds the month.
Current prices are on the pricing page.
5. Payment
- Prices are set in US dollars. Paid plans are paid in crypto through NOWPayments. You pay on NOWPayments' own payment page, where NOWPayments' terms and privacy policy apply. We never see wallet keys or card data.
- The exchange rate into the crypto currency you choose, and the network fee, are set by NOWPayments at the time of payment.
- A paid plan starts once NOWPayments reports the payment as complete. A payment for less than the invoiced amount (shown as “partially paid”) does not activate it; write to [email protected] with the order details to settle the difference.
6. Renewal and expiry
- Paid plans do not renew automatically, because a crypto payment cannot be charged without you. Each payment adds one month, counted from today or from the end of your current paid period, whichever is later, so paying early does not lose any days.
- We email you 3 days before your paid period ends, and again when it has ended.
- When a paid plan ends, the account returns to Free. Your watches are kept, but those above the Free limit are paused and send no alerts until you renew or remove enough watches to be within the limit.
7. Refunds
The service is digital and starts as soon as a payment is confirmed. Payments are therefore not refundable, except where the law requires a refund, or where a paid plan could not be delivered because of a fault on our side. In that case we refund the unused part of the paid period in crypto to an address you give us, minus network fees.
Crypto payments have no chargeback. If you disagree with a payment or with how it was applied, write to [email protected] with the order details and we resolve it with you directly.
8. Acceptable use
You may read, cite and link to any page. You may not:
- scrape the site or access its pages or internal endpoints in bulk by automated means. The internal endpoints serve the site's own pages only and are rate-limited;
- get around rate limits, plan limits or the restriction on no-action URLs;
- resell or republish exports, or a dataset built from them, as a product that competes with DMCALens;
- use the service to harass, threaten or expose people named in the records;
- interfere with the service or other users' access to it.
We can suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. If we close an account for a reason other than abuse, we refund the unused part of any prepaid period pro rata. An account closed for abuse gets no refund.
9. Exports
Pro and Business accounts can download CSV files of the lists behind a page (notices, no-action URLs, domains): up to 50 exports a day on Pro, 500 on Business, and up to 2,000,000 rows per file. Exports are for your own use, and the restrictions in section 8 apply to them.
10. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from your account page. Deletion is immediate: your email address, watchlist, alert history and sessions are removed, and any remaining prepaid time ends with them. Under section 7, deleting your own account does not create a refund. Order records are kept, without your email address, as the privacy policy describes.
11. Availability and liability
- The service and the data are provided as they are. We give no warranty that the data is accurate, complete or current, or that the service will be available without interruption.
- You are responsible for decisions you make with the data.
- To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim connected with the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. For a Free account that amount is zero.
- Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
12. Changes to these terms
We announce changes on this page with a new effective date. Material changes are emailed to paying users 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the new terms; if you do not, you can delete your account.
