what you can look up
- A domain: every notice that named it, the agencies and rights holders behind them, the monthly trend, the URLs Google left up, and the domains named in the same notices or sharing its name on other suffixes.
- An agency: the organisation that sent notices, how many, for which rights holders, against which domains, at which hours, and how Google answered.
- A rights holder: the owner the notices were sent for, the agencies it used and the domains reported for it.
- A notice: one request, its sender, its date, the domains it named and the outcome for its URLs, with a link to the full text on Lumen when one exists.
reading the figures
Every notice lists URLs, and Google records one of four outcomes for each:
- Removed: Google took the URL out of its search results.
- No action taken: the URL stayed in search. Google does not say why for each URL.
- Not in Google's index: the URL was not in search when the notice arrived, so there was nothing to remove.
- Pending: Google had not decided. Some URLs stay pending for years.
These are Google's outcomes, printed as Google reports them. They say what happened to a request, not whether a notice, a claim or a site is lawful, and DMCALens adds no judgement of its own.
Figures marked “12 months” count notices in the year up to the newest notice, 6 Oct 2026, not up to today, so a late data update never shrinks them. Google's own count of URLs left up can be higher than the URLs its data names one by one; where they differ, the page says so.
how current it is
The site updates when Google publishes new data. The date at the top of every page is the date of the newest notice it holds. Watches send an email when an update brings new notices that name what you watch: a weekly summary on Free (1 watch), and after every update on Pro and Business.
names of people
Some senders and rights holders are individuals. Pages of rights holders whose notices mostly concern adult sites are kept out of search engines, and their names are not printed on pages that search engines index. If a record names you and you want it reviewed, write to [email protected] with the address of the page.
corrections and contact
The records are Google's; errors in a notice come from its sender or from Google, and are fixed at the source. If a page shows a record differently from the notice itself, write to [email protected]. The terms and the privacy policy cover the rest.
